Curriculum and its Salient Features

The Curriculum-2020 (C-20) was approved by the Board of Governors of the State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET), Andhra Pradesh, and implemented from the academic year 2020-21. The curriculum is designed to meet the current requirements of industry and equip students with the necessary technical knowledge, practical skills, and professional competencies.

Salient Features

  • Three-year Diploma programme with regular academic instruction.
  • Semester pattern is followed, with the First Year conducted in year-wise pattern.
  • Six months of Industrial Training is mandatory for all Diploma programmes except Chemical and Metallurgy.
  • Admissions are made through POLYCET conducted by SBTET, Andhra Pradesh.
  • Minimum 75% attendance is required to appear for End Examinations.
  • Attendance shortage up to 10% may be condoned by the Principal on genuine medical grounds.
  • Students with attendance below 65% are detained.
  • Theory subjects carry 80 End Examination Marks + 20 Internal Marks.
  • Practical subjects carry 60 End Examination Marks + 40 Internal Marks.
  • Industrial Training is evaluated through assessments, log book, training record and seminar/viva-voce.
